WEAVERS OF ETERNITY
"TRICK OR TREAT!! Smell my feet!! Give me something good to eat!!" Well, that's what we used to say in the 90's when we ran around the neighborhood dressed as little monsters on the hunt for the houses with the best candy... XD. It's about that spooky time of the year again and I remember the days when I absolutely loved Halloween as a kid. Nowadays with the drudgery of adulthood, not as much (just kidding!). But, it really isn't the same of course as I'm not an eleven year old dressed as Scorpion from Mortal Kombat going from house to house yelling "GET OVER HERE!!!" as I point to the candy.
That being said, it doesn't mean we can't get into the spooky spirit of Halloween in the paracord world! As you can see from the picture above, we have several Halloween related paracord projects that have been done over the past couple of years. These include: a paracord skeleton, paracord Mummy, Skull Band paracord bracelet, and Evil Twins paracord bracelet, and paracord Jack O' Lantern. The picture above also links to a brief showcase video of those projects (If you're reading this on Monday after noon). I think the skeleton, mummy, and pumpkin would make some great party favors, additions to loot bags, and even handouts for really special Halloween Trick or Treaters... that is if you have the time to make a few dozen. Although, when I was a kid, I had an unhealthy obsession with candy and finding anything other than sweet sugar filled goodies in my bag would be a bit of a disappointment...but hey, let's not let that deter us from getting the young ones into paracord. It's never too soon to start! Regardless of how/if you're celebrating Halloween, I just wanted to wish you all a safe and fun night on the 31st! Enjoy it as it's the last day before you start seeing Christmas stuff in the stores! All the best. -WOE
